Brain Music Library

I stagger at the thought of how much information brains can actually store up there! Get this: In my iTunes library I have a folder I call 'Best of the Library'. I keep all my favorite songs in it and often set iTunes to shuffle in the folder while I'm at work. I know all the songs by heart. I sing with them in my car all the time.

I just realized how amazing that is! I've got over 700 songs in that folder. That means I have 700 lyrics stored in my brain, ready for access whenever I feel like singing along. Holy WOW! And that's not even mentioning the thousands of other songs that I know that aren't in that folder. How many song lyrics can a brain store? 2000? 10,000? a million?

The question almost makes me want to sit down and count how many sings I have memorized. Just to see how much a brain really can hold.
